Top 5 Hair Products

November 12, 2015

Listed below are my all time top 5 hair products and why! I can’t express the importance of hair care. A bad hair day can completely change our mood and attitude. And if you aren’t using the proper hair products, chances are you could be having a bad hair day every day! We definitely don’t want that to happen my friends. Here are my top 5 hair products that I’ve used for years. I stand by each of these products as I can personally attest to their strength and over all benefits. So stop having bad hair days and check these out asap!

Kerastase Elixir Ultime Shampoo (Gold bottle pictured): I’ll start with this one as shampooing is the first step in hair care. My friends and I call this stuff “LIQUID GOLD.” Because I promise you, if we could turn solid gold into liquid and wash our hair, this would be it! This is a nourishing oil shampoo that provides ultimate shine, softness and nourishment for all hair types. Now, don’t let the word “oil” shampoo scare you as this shampoo will not weigh your hair down like typical oil based products. It gently cleanses while nourishing, strengthening, and purifying your hair. Leaving it soft and shiny after each use. This shampoo’s key technology includes Maize Oil which delivers emollient and anti-oxidant active ingredients for ultimate shine, Pracaxi Oil which brings nourishment and deep conditioning to the hair, Camellia Oil which helps smooth the hair fiber, and Argan Oil which helps restore strength to the hair and protects it from external aggressors. Oh, and did I mention the best ingredient of all??? It smells delicious!

Kerastase Ciment Anti-Usure Conditioner (Green bottle pictured): There is never a day that goes by that I don’t use at least one Kerastase product, especially this conditioner! Even when I skip a day or two with washing my hair, I will wet it and put this conditioner on my ends. This is a daily reconstructing conditioner that has the ability to transform brittle, damaged hair with it’s advanced technology. Even if your hair is extremely damaged, each hair fiber is reconstructed and revitalized. This conditioner provides an anti-breakage effect that can truly rebuild and strengthen your hair. For example, one of my best girl friend’s was starting to lose her hair from over processing damage a couple of years ago. I recommended she start using Kerastase products and in particular this conditioner. The results were drastic! Within a week the texture and strength of her hair had improved dramatically. And now, she has incredibly beautiful long hair! True story :-). This conditioner’s key technology includes Pro-Keratin which is a protein that mimics the function of keratin and rebuilds the hair, Ceramides which recreate the intercellular cement, strengthening the hair fiber from the inside, and Resurrection Sap which is well-known for its regenerating power. So don’t wait another day! Start incorporating this into your hair care routine asap!

Kerastase Elixir Ultime Masque (Gold tub pictured): This is a hair masque that I use once a week for deep conditioning. It has the same key technology as the Elixir Ultime Shampoo but acts as a deep conditioning hair masque. It penetrates and provides nourishment deep into the hair fiber. Your hair will be left feeling weightless with ultimate shine! And it smells just as delicious as the shampoo!

Klorane Dry Shampoo (White bottle pictured): Dry shampoo is such an important part of hair care because it allows us to skip a day or two between shampooing. For dryer hair, maybe even longer. Its important that we do not wash our hair every single day as it dries out the hair follicle creating dry stands and split ends. The remedy to clean looking hair  daily without shampooing???…Dry shampoo! Trust me when I say, I’ve tried countless dry shampoos over the years. And to be honest, I never came across one that I was happy with until I tried Klorane. Now I keep at least 2 bottles of it under my sink at all times (as well as a travel size). With a unique combination of plant-based ingredients, this dry shampoo absorbs excess oil so hair is left clean and volumized. Its also available in different botanical formulas specifically designed for normal hair (oat milk formula) and oily hair (nettle formula). And!…there is a tinted version available for darker hair. Check out the link below to see which formula is best for your hair type. Secret tip – apply dry shampoo to your hair at night just before bed. This allows the formula to soak up excess oil over night, leaving your hair ready to go the following morning. High five on this one guys!

Moroccan Oil Treatment (Brown bottle pictured): I use a dab of this oil on the bottom half of my hair daily. It helps to smooth the cuticle and contain fly-away strands. This treatment is infused with antioxidant-rich argan oil and shine-boosting vitamins. This completely transformative hair treatment detangles, speeds up drying time and boosts shine. Your hair will be left nourished, manageable and smooth after each use. Special tip – keep this away from the roots of your hair as it will be weighed down and oily. Also, if you have finer hair, opt for the “light” version of the oil treatment.
