You know it’s a good season in fashion when your favorite outfits are inspired by pajama’s! Luckily, designers have found a way to make this bedtime style into a chic look that can be worn day and night!
The pajama style trend has quickly become one of my faves. It’s taking over street style looks all over the world with silky blouses trimmed to bedtime perfection, “teddy” style slip dresses, and heavy lace trimmed cami’s and bralettes. And don’t forget, the comfy satin finish pj pants in prints and solids alike!
Here I’ve gone with a complete look from Express. I have to be honest, I haven’t shopped in Express since I was 16 years old! I had no idea they had become so reputable for designer style clothing while still offering great prices. Luckily, I was walking past the store one day and happened to spot the blouse I’m wearing here thru the window. I was so surprised with some really great styles! And it’s actually a perfect place to shop for office attire.
I first and foremost fell in love with this blouse with it’s pajama top inspired design and and thinly lined trim details. Then I came across these pants that are an update to my forever loved jogger pants yet still have that pj inspired look. I actually love these pants so much that I want them in every color! Keep in mind that these individual pieces can easily be worn separately. I’ve worn this blouse with jeans as well as white pants. And I’ve worn these pj pants with a tank top and denim jacket several times!
For this particular look, I wanted to keep it classic and chic. Something that can be worn for a night out on the town or to the office (Umm, should probably button up the blouse a bit for for the office haha!). To keep this pajama look chic, I threw on a pair of simple black heels and choker necklaces to tie it all together. If you don’t own a choker necklace by now, please get one! They go with most everything and always add a little edge to a any outfit. Last but not least, when doing an all black look, try carrying a handbag with a bit of color. Your handbag should always be an accent piece so have fun with it! I’m crazy for blush tones so I went with this suede clutch from The Goods Co. to complete my look.
So how would you style the Pajama Trend?!?! Would love to hear your ideas!
