Everyday Casual

Everyday Casual

I’m most comfortable in clothing that is everyday casual. Well…except for leggings and flip flops! Luckily, I work in an industry that allows me to dress casually on a daily basis.Β But even outside of work, I prefer this style for most areas of my life (brunch, dinner with friends, a night on the town, etc.). Like I said, I’m most comfortable in this look. Β And when you’re comfortable, most of the time you feel confident. That’s the key with any style…feeling confident. People notice your energy before they notice anything else about you. So always wear something that makes you feel good about yourself. Regardless of what other people think!

My friend Marlena (designer at Riller and Fount) was amazing enough to send me a gift box of some of her newer styles. I actually wore this top nearly 3 days in a row before I decided I should probably take it off and send to the cleaners haha! I absolutely love off the shoulder styles and I hope they stay around for a while. This one in particular is amazing because Riller and Fount uses incredibly soft and flexible fabrications in their designs.

To give the look a little edge, I paired with distressed denim with a frayed hem. A raw edged frayed hem is my favorite look in denim. It keeps things a little more relaxed and interesting when putting together an outfit. The jeans I’m wearing here are actually “cropped.” I usually buy cropped jeans because I’m a shorty and they end up being regular length on me. Otherwise, I’m back at my tailor to have 2 inches cut off the bottom!

Add a choker necklace to an everyday casual look. I love that the 90’s choker is back in style. Especially since they look so great with off the shoulder tops! Try pairing a choker with anything in your wardrobe (tank tops, dresses, etc.). The key is to keep it visible. You don’t want to wear a choker with a high-neck top.

I chose to wear a strappy heel with this look as it gives a little more length to my legs. However, this look is so versatile, you can pair it with sandals, converse, etc. Just play with some options and have fun with it!

Jeans are from fab’rik and I believe they still have some sizes in stock.

Woah! I’m really loving the template/theme of this website. It’s simple, yet effective. A lot of times it’s very hard to get that “perfect balance” between user friendliness and visual appeal. I must say that you’ve done a awesome job with this. Additionally, the blog loads very quick for me on Opera. Excellent Blog!
