This outfit makes me smile so much because I look just like my mother! She tied a bandana around her neck throughout half my childhood. I can still remember my sister and I giving her a hard time about it haha! And now, here I am repeating her style from the 80s so diligently. Oh how fashion truly travels thru the ages! That’s why I always say, if you have something in your wardrobe that you truly love and can’t part with, hang onto it! Chances are, it will be back in style at some point during your lifetime.
I really love how this neck bandana has resurfaced in fashion as a cool hipster vibe but with so much femininity. It has that old Hollywood feel that is so so charming. I chose to pair this accessory with a simple white tank and a pair of peg-leg pants with stripes. Stripes are such a huge trend for spring fashion and I’m having so much fun with it. Incorporate stripes into your wardrobe with jackets, shirts, pants, shoes, etc!
This outfit is a true mixture of masculine and feminine when paired with a strappy heel. If you’re going to try this look, try it with something in your wardrobe that represents your style. It can be paired with jeans and a t-shirt…or a sweater and slacks. Play with it and see what makes you feel comfortable ;-).
My best friend and I shot these photos in Little Five Points Atlanta. This area goes beyond hipster cool. The streets are filled with colorful graffiti walls, tattoo parlors, vintage record stores, local breweries, etc. Such an amazing place to visit if you’re in the Atlanta area.
